Testimonials

Thalia

My addiction started at age 12. My mom signed me up for some meetings at Campora Family Resource Center and Ms. Charlise was teaching my Teen Empowerment class.  She was kind and compassionate and always had words of inspiration from God.  I was young and as much as she wanted it for me I just wasn't ready.  Long story short, my addiction lead me to a 4 year prison sentence at the TN Prison for Women.  Ms. Charlise was the cosmetology teacher at the prison.  Even though my addiction got worse while in prison Ms. Charlise never judged me.  She was there for me through my whole sentence.  She always gave me hope that I could be the person I needed and wanted to be.  She told me to believe myself  and have faith that I could overcome anything.

If Resurrection Ministries had her transitional house in operation, when I was released, it would have been a blessing to be released to her and to be in a spiritual environment. I believe I would be further along in my recovery.  She is always trying to help and has the knowledge and passion to guide you down the right path if you want it."  Thalia
